How to Use Sophia Learning Referral Codes

Step-by-step guide for new users to apply a referral code at checkout and save on their first subscription.

Referral codes typically work only for new Sophia Learning accounts and are usually valid one time. Terms can change, so always confirm what Sophia shows on the checkout page.

1Pick a Referral Code

Visit SophCode and copy a code from the list.

  • Tip: If one code fails, try a different one (some codes expire or hit limits).
  • Note: “Copy count” shows popularity, not a guarantee a code will work.

2Create a New Sophia Account

Go to Sophia.org and create a new account. Referral codes generally won’t apply if you’re signing into an existing account.

  • Click “Sign Up” / “Get Started”
  • Use a new email address
  • Verify your email if prompted

3Choose Your Membership Plan

Sophia is subscription-based. On the membership/checkout page, select the plan that fits your timeline (monthly or multi-month options if available). Pricing and plan options can change, so use the current details shown on Sophia’s checkout.

  • Monthly: best if you want short-term access
  • Multi-month: often cheaper per month if you need more time

4Apply the Referral Code at Checkout

During checkout, look for a field like Referral Code, Promo Code, or Discount Code. Paste your code and click Apply.

  • You may need to click “Have a code?” to reveal the field
  • Paste the code exactly (no extra spaces)
  • Make sure the discount appears before paying
✓ Success: If valid, the discount should show immediately in your order summary.

5Complete Checkout & Start Learning

Finish checkout and you’ll get access to Sophia’s course catalog. You can then start courses from your dashboard at your own pace.

  • Save your confirmation email/receipt
  • Start courses from the dashboard
  • If you hit issues, try a different browser or code
