If you try to apply a referral code to a re-activated account (an account that previously had a membership), Sophia will display an "Invalid Code" or "Not Eligible" error message. Their system tracks your email address.
If you are returning to Sophia to finish your degree, you have three options to lower the cost.
This is the only way to use the $20 referral codes. You must create a brand new account using a different email address.
Warning: You cannot transfer course progress between accounts. Only do this if you have completed and transferred your previous courses, or if you are starting fresh.
Get a New Member CodeSophia often sends automated emails to inactive users titled "We miss you" or "Come back and save." search your inbox for "Sophia Learning" to see if they sent you a unique reactivation code.
If you have 4+ months of work left, the 4-month plan ($299) brings the monthly cost down to about $75/month, which is cheaper than the monthly plan even with a discount code.
Can I delete my account and remake it?
Sophia support usually cannot fully "delete" your history to allow for a referral code on the same email. Using a different email is the standard workaround used by students.
